Corporate standard
The AKOUE
Standard.
Five principles determine what is allowed to carry the AKOUE name. They are written to constrain us, and they apply to every category we enter.
- 01
Performance
Sound comes first. Always.
An AKOUE product must perform exceptionally at its primary purpose.
Repairability cannot excuse mediocre performance. Durability cannot excuse mediocre design. Longevity cannot excuse outdated technology.
- 02
Longevity
Engineered beyond the expected.
Products are designed around extended ownership from the beginning — in materials, in architecture, and in how the product is expected to be used years after purchase.
- 03
Serviceability
Designed for service, not disposal.
Where technically and economically reasonable, degradation of a serviceable component should not unnecessarily determine the life of an entire product.
- 04
Ownership
Yours to use. Yours to keep.
Core hardware functionality should not be unnecessarily trapped behind subscriptions. Accounts should exist only where they provide genuine value.
Software should serve the owner.
- 05
Progress
New only when meaningful.
AKOUE does not require annual hardware generations. New hardware should exist when meaningful advancement warrants it.
If it isn’t worth owning,it isn’t worth putting AKOUE on it.
